Serve
At the heart of what it is to be a follower of Jesus is the desire and need to serve…
Getting involved is a great way to meeting new people, build friendships, and really makes us feel a part of our Church community. With a huge range of Adult and Children’s organisations, there are many different ways to help out. If you would like to get involved, speak to someone you know in any of the organisations or contact the Church Office. Whether you are a great teacher, a tech guru, or just really good at making victoria sandwiches, we can put your skills to great use!
As part of our Outreach Ministry, we seek to serve the needy and marginalised of Carrickfergus. Our vision is a town in which people experience spiritual, personal, social and economic well-being through the demonstration of Christ’s love.
We support a number of groups and work with Social Services to reach out to those who struggle to provide food and other necessities for themselves and their families.
We are passionate about being involved in our community and believe that God wants us to serve others. In serving our community, we seek to demonstrate the love of Jesus. All our hampers are given away free of charge and with no strings attached.
How can you help? When a hamper distribution is planned, a notice will be placed in the church announcements listing requested items. These can be placed in the large boxes located in the church vestibule on a Sunday morning or in the church office on weekdays.
We also need volunteers to help pack hampers. If a distribution is planned, please look in the announcements or speak to Trevor Norris for details.
Come along and enjoy coffee, scones and chat. Second Thursday of the month 10.15 am – 11.45 am September to April. All money raised goes to Tearfund. See announcements for dates.
Please note this activity is currently not taking place due to Covid-19 restrictions.
