At the heart of what it is to be a follower of Jesus is the desire and need to serve…
Getting involved is a great way to meeting new people, build friendships, and really makes us feel a part of our Church community. With a huge range of Adult and Children’s organisations, there are many different ways to help out. If you would like to get involved, speak to someone you know in any of the organisations or contact the Church Office. Whether you a great teacher, a tech guru, or just really good at making victoria sandwiches, we can put your skills to great use!
Through this ministry, our desire is to make outreach and evangelism a normal and regular part of Church life! By doing this, we include all volunteers who love Jesus and truly build a Kingdom Ministry as we serve together.
As we hit the streets doing practical acts of service and kindness, we will also have opportunities to tell others about Jesus in open conversations, as people ask us why we’re doing what we’re doing.
Church in the Community events are advertised in the Church announcements and on both the Church and Carrickfergus Outreach Team Facebook page. If you would like to volunteer, or if we can assist you in any way, please do speak to someone you know who’s involved or contact the Church office.
As part of our Outreach Ministry, we seek to serve the needy and marginalised of Carrickfergus. Our vision is a town in which people experience spiritual, personal, social and economic well-being through the demonstration of Christ’s love.
We support a number of groups and work with Social Services to reach out to those who struggle to provide food and other necessities for themselves and their families.
We are passionate about being involved in our community and believe that God wants us to serve others. In serving our community, we seek to demonstrate the love of Jesus. All our hampers are given away free of charge and with no strings attached.
How can you help? When a hamper distribution is planned, a notice will be placed in the church announcements listing requested items. These can be placed in the large boxes located in the church vestibule on a Sunday morning or in the church office on weekdays.
We also need volunteers to help pack hampers. If a distribution is planned, please look in the announcements or speak to Trevor Norris for details.
Come along and enjoy some tasty scones and chat. Meets monthly on Thursdays, 10am-12pm in the Coffee Bar. All money raised goes to Tearfund. See announcements for dates.
