Circle of Hope is a successful Child Sponsorship Programme caring for hundreds of orphans in Nigeria whose families have been devastated by AIDS. The scheme is run by ADVANCE Action Against AIDS from the Donegore Centre in Ogugu in Kogi State and currently helps over 200 primary and secondary school children with nutrition, school fees, and spiritual support. Many of the children have lost one or both parents to AIDS, while others are unable to fend for themselves because their mother or father is seriously ill. Some are born with HIV and require much–needed antiretroviral treatment. Placed into the care of a local family, the children are loved, fed and well looked after.

Our Involvement:
In the summer of 2010 a team of 5 people from the church travelled to Nigeria to work with Circle of Hope. Invididuals and families from the church continue to support the project by sponsoring children. We also provide direct financial support to projects, such as 'Swell' (see video) which recently completed the installation of a borehole to provide clean, fresh water. If you would be interested in sponsoring a child through Circle of Hope or supporting the work in Nigeria, please contact Albert Boyd.

Missionary Mid-Week Meetings
First Wednesday of the month at 7:45pm in the Upper Room. Come and hear about God's work around the world and see how He can use you to touch the lives of others by praying, giving and/or going.

Plant a Pastor
Our church has sponsored 38 students since the start of this scheme. We, as a congregation, are supporting them financially to enable them to train in their own countries to teach and pastor God's people within their own communities. Many of them are now active in a range of countries (Algeria, Uganda, Malawi, Mexico, Moldova, Nigeria, Bolivia, Cuba, India and the Democratic Republic of Congo).

As part of this support, we have pledged to support training for 12 young men who will travel as evangelists on the Congo River.

All this work has been made possible by generous donations, bequests and money allocated by the church committee. | (028) 9336 1480
